AT Friends of Dr. Midford will be glad to know he is feeling much bet ter and was able to take a short walk, one day this week. Quite a number of people from here attended the funertil of Eman uel Kriegbaum which was held in Portland on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Linn ate New Year's dinner Sunday, with Mrs. Linn's parent* in Portland. Ed Linn went to Portland Monday to attend the funeral services of Mr. Kreigbaum. Mr. and Mr*. Sam Dunlop were recent guest* of Mr. and Mr*. Don Allen at Bull Run. G. P. Rose recently purchased a fine new Chrysler sedan which is a very striking model of car. Mr. and Mr*. Bert Palmateer and children of Morgan. Oregon, are vis iting relative* in thi* vicinity for a time. Mr*. Zogg of Sandy Ridge is visit ing at the home of her daughter Mrs. Frauk Forman. Mr*. Currin and Mrs. H. Heiple were shopping in Portland on Tues day. Mr*. Raymond Lovelace and baby, and Mr*. Wallace Smith are visiting in Stay ton thi* week. LOW Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Periling and children and the Misses Oakley of Seattle have been visiting at the home of Mrs. Mae Reed during the holidays. Mrs. Neil Rock of Pendleton has been visiting at the home of her sis ter Mrs. Graham for several days. Mrs. Graham's daughter, Maurietta Sheltan has also been visiting here from Pendleton. . Mr. and Mrs. Clay Chaney are re joicing over the arrival of a baby at their home in George, this past week. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Lawrence of Portland, were guests at the home of their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Lawrence, last Tuesday. Lloyd Ewalt of Currinsville, is ill this week with the flu. Mrs. W. W. Rhodes has been quite ill this week, but is reported some what better at this writing. Dan Matson returned Sunday from a visit with relatives in Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Carter and children have moved to Portland where they will make their home for a time.
